Infrastructure Dry Services Design Engineering Manager / Leader

We are looking for an Infrastructure Dry Services Design Engineering Manager / Leader who will be responsible for UAE’s Infrastructure Dry Services Design Engineering. The role includes Design Schemes Development, Resources management, Quality Management, Cost Control Management, Coordinating the interface between Client & Internal Delivery Team, Contribute to Sales & bidding Strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Full appreciation of Scope of work, Contractual Obligations & variations
- Responsible for Tasks / Projects Delivery Management:
- 4-Stages Project Management;
- Monthly Project Review in terms of Technical Progress against Program;
- Monthly Project Review in terms of Financial Expenditure against Budget
- Lead Design engineering / Optioneering Infrastructure projects:
- Electrical Load Calculations, preparation of load schedules, LV schedules and volt drop calculations, cable de-rating calculations, etc.
- HV, MV and LV Network Design including single line diagrams for infrastructure projects.
- Understand & confirm compliance with requirements for primary substations, pocket substations and feeder pillars as part of the design.
- Telecommunication Network Design and in-depth knowledge of GSM coverage requirements.
- Lux Calculations (DiaLux software) for street lighting.
- Street Lighting Network Design including Single Line Diagrams and Voltage drop Calculations
- Street Lighting Tunnels / underpasses;
- Oversee / review preparation of new/modified designs based upon specifications supplied by the engineering team
- Monitor & review accuracy, completeness and timeliness of required design documentation
- Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues
- Provide guidance on technical issues and also get engaged in design reviews and play a pivotal role in the most complex of issues
- Lead / participate in Value Engineering Workshops
- To have good knowledge and familiarity with local authority standards (mainly DEWA, DM, RTA , ETISALAT, DU, ADWEA, RSB, , ADDC, TRANSCO, ADSSC, ADM, DOT)

Requirements

- BSc in Electrical Engineering (other disciplines will be considered); Masters in Engineering preferred;
- Chartered Engineer preferred
- 15+ years’ total experience
- Must come from a strong infrastructure engineering background
- In-depth understanding of Authority Guidelines
- In-depth understanding of relevant Software
- UAE experience with established client relationships
- Proactive, Self-starter, motivated individual
- Arabic or Non-Arabic speaker; communication skills (both written and oral) must be great
- Bidding and sales experience in the Middle East is mandatory
- A Client focused individual will proactively go out and sort out issues faced by the clients
- Problem solving.
- Mobile within the UAE, and if required within the Middle East
