Job Description
Surgical clerkships are an essential part of our medical students (undergraduates) education at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAEU. There are two clerkships in our undergraduate curriculum: the Junior and Senior Surgical clerkships which cover a wide range of surgical problems; each lasts for 8 weeks. The diversity of clinical services at SEHA facilities in Al-Ain City improves student exposure to surgical patients.
We are seeking a properly qualified surgeon to work as an Instructor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences ate UAE University. Duties of the candidate include teaching medical students (undergraduates) in general, thoracic and vascular surgery. Clinical services in the affiliated SEHA teaching hospitals will be related mainly to the educational activities. The candidate is expected to help in the educational, research, and administrative activities of the Department of Surgery as requested. The candidate will also counsel and guide our students and provide their adequate support.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Applicants must be medically qualified from a recognized college of medicine and have a specialty degree of surgical training.
Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
Being of good professional standing. Currently registered as a Surgical Specialist by the Department of Health of Abu-Dhabi with an active license. Have clinical experience in general surgery, thoracic surgery and vascular surgery. Have proper teaching experience.
