Job description / Role
- Gain an understanding of objectives, risks & controls at all levels of the business – strategic, operation & process.
- Allocate work across the team and third parties taking into account individual skill sets.
- Support and supervise team members to deliver high quality work.
- Review Risk and Control Matrix (RACM), working papers and supporting evidence.
- Ensure that all reports are fair, balanced, business focussed and that recommendations are practical.
- Ensure third party delivery is in line with IA methodology and to the standards required.
- Manage audit team to deliver high performance.
- Deliver on adhoc/consulting engagements as required.
- Work with IAD on risk assessment exercise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Economics/.
- Professional certification such as ACA, CIA, ACCA, CPA from an accredited institution.
- Proven track record in internal audit and within managerial roles.
- Sound knowledge of how technology is used to support a business.
- Sound knowledge of management practice is required.
- A sound track record of managing a team to deliver a portfolio of audits on time and to a high quality.
- Ability to understand individual motivations and how to get the best out of each team member.
- Sound experience in the entire audit cycle and the application of internal audit standards.
- Extensive practical knowledge and experience of using risk-based internal audit techniques.
- Sound understanding of objectives, risks and controls at all levels of the business – strategic, operational and process.
- Actively promotes a team spirit encouraging collaborative working and valuing contributions from all.
- Excellent command of English, verbal and written.
- Excellent report writing skills.
