Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The Internal Auditor is responsible to conduct a variety of internal Health, Safety and Environmental compliance audits including but not limited to legal, systems, focused, supply chain, for all active projects across all Business Units to assess the level of implementation and compliance to the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS), and provide feedback to Project teams and the Group HSE Compliance Manager in the form of an Audit Report.
Core Responsibilities:
• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual audit plans in conjunction with the Group HSE Compliance Manager.
• Planning and executing internal audits in line with ISO 19001:2018 guidelines.
• Review project HSE documentation including Incident Reports, Statistics, Meeting Minutes, Inspections, Action Notices, Safety Dashboards etc. to identify trends across business units or projects and assist in the development of strategies to address these.
• Prepare and present audit reports that reflect the audit methodology and findings.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Review Audit Action Plans & conduct follow up audits to monitor implementation of corrective measures.
• Maintain open communication with management.
• Continual knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRM are preferred.
• Proven working experience as an ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Sound and unbiased independent judgement.
• Excellent communication skills.
