Job description / Role
Client is a fast growing company in the GCC region and is urgently seeking services of an experienced Field Service Engineer. He/she will be responsible for installation, integration, troubleshooting and servicing the company proprietary hardware/software solution.
He/she will be stationed in project’s country and will have daily base interaction with customers and various vendors.
Frequent travel to other countries will be required.
Responsibilities:
- System support:
- Solution functionality and networking troubleshooting
- Broken flows diagnose
- Maintain system health
- Root-Cause-Analysis
- Dump file analysis
- Overall system:
- System fine tuning
- Preventive and maintenance procedures
- Supporting any activity which requires development related engagement: Site surveys, POC, demo, etc.
- Reports and Knowledge Management:
- Daily status reports
- Installation and configuration manuals update
- Compose WiKi and share solution, technical expertise with fellow engineers
Requirements
- 5+ years Network Engineering Experience
- Strong Customer Facing Skills
- Exceptional SLA Management and Reporting Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Must has in-depth knowledge of IP communication protocols like – TCP\IP
- Proven experience of IP debugging, using tools like Wireshark, Tcpdump,
- Knowledge of C++ as an advantage
- Experience in Telephony\VoIP - an advantage
