Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

One of the Middle East's biggest banks are growing their application management team and are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join.

Working within the business requirements unit, the Senior Business Analyst will primarily be responsible for working closely with the business to gather user requirements and develop documentation aimed at helping IT deliver the desired functionality.

Furthermore the IT Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Work closely with IT Business Partners and directly with the business, introducing new applications, technologies and advice from a technology perspective
- Gather detailed business requirements, providing direction and scope in line with business strategy alignment
- Conduct requirement analysis and reviews, as well as review functional specification documents
- Manage relationships with stakeholders within IT, the business, and vendors
- Review and recommend change requests as appropriate
- Assist the development, testing and project management teams throughout the SDLC
- Contribute to the organisation's innovation programme with new ideas in line with continuous improvement

Requirements

- Candidates will need a relevant IT-based degree, and will need commercial experience of working within a similar role, as well as:
- Strong understanding of the requirements gathering process
- Good understanding of high level system and application design, as well as an appreciation of the software development lifecycle
- Good working knowledge of the project lifecycle and of project management processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Prior financial services experience
- Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, PMP etc
