IT / Java Developer

Job description / Role

- Work closely with the Business Owner, Sales, and Business Analysts, for understanding the System’s functional and non-functional requirements. Active participation in the implementation of WMS modules. Data conversion strategy.
- Administration and implementation all reporting systems which includes: Data warehousing, BI reporting system. Provide information system support for process improvement initiatives specially data automation. SQL database administration.
- Ensure that all the systems outputs are accurate by continuous system testing and communicating the users’ deliverables and results. Developing a test plan strategy of all implemented systems WMS. Build a data monitoring and security strategy that leads to a healthy and secure environment. Analyze and Develop New Modules / Enhancement on Existing In house Business Applications
- Designs and documents systems based on analysis results and further consultation with NASCO management and staff.
- Assists user and operating areas in implementing and supporting systems including system installation, training and troubleshooting.
- Carries out fact finding and program analysis of problems; applies established procedures to bring resolution and Provides technical advice and support to users. This includes creating ad-hoc reports, data analysis and correction, training and problem solving
- Reviewing current systems
- Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
- Working closely with analysts, designers and staff
- Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes
- Preparation of training manuals for users
- Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
- Preferred 6 Years’ experience in Java Development and 2 years in the insurance industry.

Requirements

- Bachelor's in Computer Science
- At least 4-6 years of experience

Specialist knowledge:
Java Programming, Development, JSP, J2EE, Struts, spring, Hibernate, JQuery, Angular JS, WMS
