Job description / Role
A high profile 5* Hotel in the UAE are looking to bring in a new IT Manager to take responsibility for the group’s network infrastructure.
The IT Manager for Networking & Infrastructure will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all network components such the core, distribution and edge switches in addition to any devices connected to the core infrastructure. This includes all cabling, and may include servers and related data centre equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage installations of, maintain and support all infrastructure elements
- Provide a 24/7 1st level support for all issues
- Maintaining, developing and documenting of all networking and IT security standards
- Ensuring all IT standards are adhered to
- Planning of training, development and succession planning of all subordinates in IT
- Manage vendor relationships
- Participate in budget planning and ensure all agreed IT budgets are adhered to
- Manage departmental related maintenance & support contracts
- Prepare and report to Senior Management with regards to key KPIs
- Contribute to the strategic IT road-map
The IT Manager will also be responsible for managing a small team and will need relevant line management experience accordingly.
Requirements
The environment is heavily Cisco and HP focused, and candidates should have large scale switching and routing experience.
Given the nature of the industry candidates should be aware the business needs to operate on a 24/7 basis and candidates will need to work whatever hours are required.
