IT Project Manager (UAE National)

Job description / Role

Our Dubai based strategic business partner have a need for a UAE National IT Project Manager with a background in Applications. The role holder is responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing the projects they are assigned to, identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring appropriate management, SME’s, business representatives and if required vendor involvement throughout the life of the project.

The Role:

• Oversee the business and technical analysis of project and enhancement requests, ensuring that both business and technical specifications are sufficiently communicated and documented.
• Prepare the Project initiation form, project plan, project charter and validate the business case prior to seeking management approvals to proceed.
• Manage projects in terms of scope, intent, financials including operational costs, delivery, acceptance, IT Operations, sourcing, pre-requisites, risks, steering and communication.
• Responsible for project delivery as per plan and budget, explicitly minimizing and mitigating project risks.
• Manage the business and technical analysis of project and enhancement requests, ensuring that both business and technical specifications are sufficiently communicated and documented.
• Collaborate with IT BI, Enterprise Architect and Portfolio Management teams to ensure delivery of initiatives on time.

Requirements

The Requirements:
Minimum of a graduate degree in information technology and or business management
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of managing increasingly complex projects in a technical environment.
Experience of rapid application development techniques such as timeboxing would also be an advantage.
Experience of development, integration and hosting of IT systems, software configuration, risk management, data protection.
PRINCE 2 practitioners and PMI methodologies are preferred
