Job description / Role
Kemistry HR are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our client a leading online travel platform company in the Middle East and North Africa Region. Backed by a large travel holding group this is a exciting time to join a ambitious expanding online start up!
- Provide financial status information by preparing reports.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Prepare invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
- Create and maintain filing system for all related documents.
- Assist with year-end closing and make sure all the documents are prepared.
- Assist in month end reporting procedures.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with legal requirements and the world wide accounting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 1 to 2 years experience in Accounts
- Good communication skills – strong English is essential
- Proficient in MS office (Word/ Excel applications)
- Has strong initiative able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
