Junior Accountant

Job description / Role

Are you a driven Junior Accountant seeking to propel your career forward? We are searching for a motivated individual to join our team and oversee daily accounting operations specific to the hospitality sector. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of F&B accounting practices and the initiative to excel in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Record and process entries to ensure accurate documentation of all food & beverage business transactions.
• Compile daily sales files for distribution everyday of the week including weekends within the F&B operation.
• Prepare and issue invoices promptly, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable specific to food & beverage vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data related to operations.
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Adhere to legal and company accounting standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments, including HR and Marketing, to review, disburse, and update payroll and expenses.
• Timely update financial data and ensure its accuracy.
• Take prompt action in rectifying any inaccuracies in financial information.
• Prepare reports specific as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Junior Accountant role within the Food & Beverage Industry.
• Analytical mindset and critical thinking capabilities.
• Passion for numerical analysis and a strong understanding of F&B cost controls.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Experience with relevant accounting software used in F&B operations (e.g., MYOB, SAP) with at least 2 years of experience.
• Additional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Filipino National preferred.
