Junior Buyer

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a well-known music / entertainment retailer. Our client is looking to hire a Junior Buyer to join their team.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will assist in the development of a purchasing strategy and make purchasing decisions within budget based on market conditions and trends. You will assist in negotiations with supplier agreements, contracts, product selling price and profit margin and returns to vendor. You will also be involved in the marketing contribution surrounding the product, exclusivity periods and defective policy and after sales service.

You will identify and develop new international labels and brands in order to introduce new products along with monitoring the monthly activities of the departments across the region. You will also maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers, soliciting feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have previous experience as a Junior or Assistant Buyer, ideally with experience in the music / entertainment retail sector. This is an exciting job role in a company that offers endless opportunity for future progression.
