Major Engineering Consultancy

Our client is a major engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation throughout the Middle East. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to support engineering projects by adapting and applying good engineering techniques, preparing reports and calculations.
The Electrical Design Engineer shall provide efficient and optimized solutions for the development of products and design in support of the Electrical Design Team while preparing drawings or other deliverables for all projects.
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare Electrical design calculations.
- Coordinate with other team members for design tasks.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers for related calculations.
- Coordinate with CAD operators to generate layouts/diagrams.
- Review material submittals
- Perform value engineering and design reviews.
- Assist in writing of specifications
- Prepare Bill Of Quantities
- Assist in producing employer requirements
- Familiarize with electrical authorities for projects in various countries
- Familiarize with international electrical standards.
- Familiarize with electrical design software such as Dialux and Etap
- Attend internal coordination meetings.
- Attend meetings with client when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable University
- Minimum 3 years of related design experience
- Proficiency in English
- Previous experience working in the UAE / GCC
- Knowledge and proficiency in computer software applications Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
