Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• As a Junior Purchaser you will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager and be instrumental as a key link between GL events entities and all our suppliers.

Missions:
• Analyse the market, source new suppliers, and request for all their documentation
• Provide analysis and audit of the suppliers
• Setup and optimize the suppliers’ database (price, information on suppliers, etc.), ensure it is kept up to date and reliable
• Issue RFQ and RFP
• Issue and monitor all contracts and agreements with preferred suppliers
• Implement the Purchasing process in accordance with the rules and procedures in force and within the best Cost, Quality, Time Scale and Service conditions
• Drive relations with the suppliers and manage potential disputes
• Propose cost optimization measures
• Obtain competitive quotations from our sub-contractors in liaison with the Sales Team. You will challenge sub-contractors pricing to improve the margin.
• Help the Procurement Manager in the negotiations
• Improve the payment terms with the suppliers

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Procurement is mandatory
• Fluent in English–Written & Verbal
• Western nationals are preferred
• Experience in procurement is mandatory, in the UAE is preferred
• Highly Organised
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• UAE based
• Perfect knowledge of Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
