A leading Italian Bank is seeking a Junior Treasury Dealer to join Its DIFC (Dubai) operations.
In this challenging role the day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Subject to dealing and counterparty limits, Executes trades in FX, Money Market and Fixed Income instruments on the bank’s account, possibly on the clients’ request
- Passes on prices to relationship managers
- Approaches existing and potential counterparties to market treasury products
- Follows international and regional financial, economic, political and social trends and assesses their possible effects on exchange and interest rates
- Quickly and effectively ensures that the legal and regulatory framework is applied to the varied and sometimes unexpected situations that may occur in day-to-day business
- Where necessary, assesses the reliability of unknown banks, brokers and other parties
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
(Experience in the UAE is highly valued but not a must)
- Literacy in Bloomberg and / or Reuters systems
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Understanding of economics and how news can impact FX and interest rates.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Team player
- Can set priorities and work with accuracy while under pressure
