Junior Web Developer

Job description / Role

Looking for an outstanding Junior Web Developer to join their ever-growing digital team at a world renowned multinational as a key contributor to their digital team. The Junior Web Developer will be required to build and maintain the numerous internal and external websites of the company with the help of the digital team. The prospective candidate has to be a likable individual who works extremely well in a team and can, to put it bluntly, explain technical things to non-technical people a lot of the time.

Besides working in a fun-loving team, you will also be required to fulfill the technical aspects of the role which include:
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/Java/PHP practices
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Understand specifications and requirements based on technical needs and provide constructive insight into how they could be further refined
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the company\'s websites
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Requirements

- Good experience working as a Web Developer previously, preferably 2-3 solid years
- Must be proficient in using programming languages: Java, HTML and PHP
- Bachelors degree qualification in Computer Science or related degree discipline
- Previous experience in creating mobile sites
- Preferably be interested in video editing and animation
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
- Excellent English written and communication skills. Arabic preferred.
