Layout Artist

Job description / Role

As a Layout Artist, you will primarily produce finished digital artwork for dnata and the Emirates Group.

Job Outline:
- Produce finished digital artwork across a wide range of below and above-the-line material including brochures, leaflets, newsletters, advertisements, exhibitions, retail etc.
- Adhere to all the visual standards guides (VSG) across the group. All artworks must strictly follow styles, fonts and colours covered in the VSG's. It is the Layout Artists responsibility to layout all copy and pictorial content so it not only follows the brief but is also consistent to the stipulations in the approved guidelines.
- To ensure all material is produced to specified agreed deadlines. To accomplish this the job holder will need to assess all elements of a given job and take the initiative if information is missing or not clear.
- To creatively layout and produce material using his/her design experience to translate rough visuals supplied by a Graphic Designer.
- Ensure the safe keeping and storage of work generated on his/her computer so that they are easily accessible when required.

Requirements

- Diploma in Graphic Design. English O’level or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ print and production experience in a graphic design studio/advertising agency where the job holder will have been working on artwork for newsletters, brochures, leaflets, outdoor, exhibition design etc. Ability to work under pressure and to work extended hours, when called for, to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency on Apple Mac system. Expert in Adobe Creative Suite – Indesign/Photoshop/Illustrator software
- Completed courses for the Apple Mac to an appropriate level. Completed courses in Adobe Creative Suite.

Candidates are required to upload at least two pieces of recent work for evaluation along with the CV
