Job description / Role
AMIDEAST is looking to recruit an experienced Lead English Language Teacher with the following responsibilities:
- Delivering an academic English Language course in line with a prepared curriculum.
- Record keeping, student progress and end of semester report writing.
- Handling students with different levels of English proficiency.
- Teaching students from different backgrounds and nationalities.
- Attending staff meetings and/or professional development sessions.
- Evaluating, tracking and reporting the progress of the program.
- Evaluating , tracking and reporting the progress of the teachers.
- Serving as a liaison between teachers and the client.
- Building trust and collegiality among teachers.
- Chairing department meetings, gathering inputs from the English Language team and taking the lead on curriculum issues that may emerge.
Requirements
- M.A. and/or TEFL/TESL certification and/or a CELTA qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience teaching academic English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Language.
- Organizational skills, flexibility, responsibility and ability to work in a dynamic team.
- Experience working with organizational/administrative tasks.
- Experience working with international students or student networks.
Others:
- Candidate must have a valid UAE residence visa.
