Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Lead Process Designer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop process diagrams, flowcharts and other visual aids to document complex processes.
- Analyze existing processes and develop proposals for process improvements.
- Develop detailed process maps and related documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop process models to meet their needs.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and cost savings.
- Evaluate proposed changes to existing processes and develop implementation plans.
- Monitor process performance and suggest changes as needed to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
- Utilize SP3 D, software to develop Piping & Instrument Diagram .
- Develop and maintain a library of process diagrams and related documentation.
- Provide technical guidance on process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology
- Minimum 15 years of experience in design and preparation of SP3D P&IDs deliverables for Chemical/ Oil and Gas Industrial Projects, including minimum (2) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- Certificate course in SP3D, Process Designing would be an advantage.
- Experience in Process Engineering Design Environment
- Ability to check engineering design deliverables in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering design environment.
- Hands on experience in,
- Micro station
- AutoCAD
- SP3D
- NavisWorks
- Smart Sketch
- MS office
- Onshore and Offshore experience, ADNOC experience is desired.
- Experience FEED, Detail design and EPC projects.
- Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
- Assurance of tender and supply for all Telecommunication & Instrument equipment
- Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major Brownfield oil / gas offshore projects.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
