Lead Process Engineer

Job description / Role

The project is a large offshore redevelopment project for a major Oil company in the Gulf. With over 40 years of development, the mature fields are being redeveloped to maintain current levels of production, whilst aiming to improve performance by facilitating the drilling of additional offshore wells.

With oil prices at a low, the main object is to extend production for many years to come, by implementing cost effective upgrades or replacement of existing facilities whilst attempting to mitigate integrity concerns, low availability issues and high maintenance costs.

Your main responsibilities will involve:
Lead and be responsible for the Process Engineering technical input into the design, fabrication, construction, testing, installation and commissioning of the offshore facilities of the Offshore Re-development project, with focus on the successful execution of the project on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed project requirements, specifications and standards.

Requirements

- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from a recognised University, higher degree would be advantageous.
- Membership of a recognised professional engineering association (or institution) is preferable.
- A minimum of 15 years` experience in Process Engineering design in Oil and Gas Industry with an Oil and Gas Company or Consultant/Contractor, of which at least I 0 years should have been in offshore Oil and Gas processing projects.
- Of the 15 years` experience, a minimum of 8 years should have been as a Senior Process Engineer in a major project and a minimum of 5 years as Lead Process Engineer in design of major projects in a reputable engineering consultant, EPIC Contractors or OandG Company.
- Excellent communication skills in English
