Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible to lead a team of engineers and guide them for day to day work.

In absence of HOD, the Lead should be able to handle all departmental activities like proposals, guiding static and package equipment Engineers, ensuring that all jobs are delivered on time.

- Assist the HOD to carry out the project as per schedule.
- Ensure that documents and drawings produced by him are as per project quality procedures
- Assist Engineers and designers in technical areas
- Establish, maintain and expand the “knowledge Network” for the discipline engineering area within the company to ensure key learning’s are shared and best practices are shared
- Assist in development of company procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Provide inputs to proposal bids, preparation of method statement, deliverable list, man-hour rates if required

Requirements

B.S. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience in the oil/gas industry with rotating machines design like compressors/gas turbine generators etc. Must have been in CONSULTANT’s organisation for at least three (5) years in similar position in Detailed Design / FEED phase work.

Extensive expertise in design & selection of rotating equipment for oil and gas projects of comparable complexity and value is essential. Must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards & recommended practices for this discipline. Experience with Consultant or owner organisation in the execution of similar projects is a must. Such participation in projects in Middle East is beneficial.
