Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Learning & Development Specialist will lead the design, development, and delivery of courses, as well as the management of training metrics and resources in support of the Air Arabia’s overall business objectives.

All learning strategies must be aligned to drive growth and innovation, strengthen organizational performance and resilience, and continually develop critical skills, knowledge and capabilities

Key Accountabilities
- Identifies gaps between ideal and actual performance required to meet the organizations business needs and determines performance deficiencies; aligns learning solutions with business goals
- Design and develop creative training solutions that meet business needs and align with company goals and training framework.
- Closely follow new learning and development research, materials, methods and techniques and incorporate new ideas into programs
- Measures and analyzes effectiveness of learning and performance improvement solutions and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement with an emphasis on performance metrics including behavioral change and business results
- Acts as a partner with business leaders to provide L&D support to achieve the business objectives
- Updates and maintains existing training course session plans and associated resources.
- Adds new training courses to the course catalogue in line with business needs, designing the training, creating session plans and all course materials.
- Creates e-learning training courses on a variety of subjects.
- Assists with the sourcing of external training and training service providers.
- Supervision of the Learning Management System (LMS) and related learning technology platforms
- Provides overviews on materials to facilitators/trainers; assists trainers in learning exercises and materials
- Establishes a team of Subject Matter Experts in specialist subjects
- Evolves a learning culture across various levels and functions within Air Arabia as well as embedding a development mindset

The role defined here is not exhaustive and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.

Requirements

- Minimum three (3) years' experience in Human Resources, training or learning and development focused role, preferably in airline, travel, retail, hospitality or banking environment is essential.
- Higher education qualification in training, learning and development, etc. is desirable.
- Experience Net Dimensions LMS programme or similar
- Experience of designing and building e-learning/virtual learning programs desirable
- Two years’ experience in a customer service environment preferably in the aviation, travel, retail, hospitality or banking environment sector is desirable.
- Excellent spoken and written English language communication skills
- Spoken and written Arabic language communication skills is desirable
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent motivational skills and the ability to improve all staff performance to increase productivity.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
