Learning & Development Manager - Al Futtaim Group Real Estate - Dubai

Business Needs Analysis:
- Partnering with Head of Departments, HR Business Partners and the Senior Leadership team to adopt more creative, innovative and targeted learning and development solutions to drive business results linked to strategic objectives
- Clearly establishing and articulating roles and responsibilities for formulating, implementing and monitoring learning and development strategies
- Assessing relevant training needs for staff individuals and organisation, in consultation with departmental heads, to determine the most appropriate course of action

Building Regional Learning and Development Solutions:
- Providing maximum flexibility in the delivery of learning to all staff, regardless of their geographic location
- Support the business with the creation of a regional catalogue of functional, learning course offerings based on a thorough regional learning audit and needs analysis
- Ensuring learning and development specialists and HR Business Partners in regional locations are informed, trained, and act in alignment to the global learning and development strategy

Developing & Implementing of Learning and Development Activity:
- Producing organisational strategy and providing direction on content design and development plans to meet training and development needs
- Delivering learning and development solutions using a variety of methods including on-the-job, e-learning and classroom training, special projects, mentoring, conferences and workshops
- Partnering with the senior leadership team, the business HR team, the training centre and the wider L&D community on the identification of success metrics prior to program implementation

Measuring and Reporting Effectiveness of Learning and Development Activity:
- Participating in the development of metrics such as cost per person per year, attendance, and performance to measure the effectiveness of training programs
- Delivering accurate baseline data to support interpretation and decision-making by managers
- Utilising feedback to evaluate and measure the effectiveness and to continuously improve the programs

Performance Management, Succession Planning & Employee Retention:
- Working with line managers to ensure performance management activities translate into learning and development action plans
- Identifying critical positions and successors as per the business objectives and addressing any potential gaps in skills or behavioural competencies
- Periodically assessing the readiness of potential successors and if necessary, amending the development plan

Employee Engagement:
- Developing and maintaining communications driving employee awareness and engagement in programs
- Ensuring new hire engagement through orientation and performance productivity

Management of External Vendors:
- Identifying, selecting and managing partnerships with industry associations, external training and accreditation bodies and providers necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards

Financial Management:
- Ensuring learning and development solutions are sufficiently and appropriately funded for short and long-term future needs and offer value-for-money
- Continuously developing the calculation of the ROI for each learning, training and development initiative

Requirements

The chosen candidate will be a creative and effective team leader that possesses a high degree of professionalism, strong HR capabilities, business acumen, energy and determination.

The Learning and Development Manager will have a strong command of both written and spoken Arabic and English and will also meet all of the essential requirements below:

- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record ideally in a related field such as Business Studies, Commerce, Education or Psychology
- Preferred CIPD Learning & Development qualification (or similar)
- Successful track record in a learning and development or Human Resources leadership role with a focus on Learning and Development
- Demonstrable success in designing, evaluating, analysing, and delivering innovative learning and development training programs
- Ability to lead, coach and develop employees to improve performance, achieve goals and achieve challenging results
- Previous experience of managing training across multiple locations and countries
- Industry experience within a multinational or multi-unit organisation
- Experience managing a small, target driven team
- Ability to write reports and correspondence suitable for a senior level audience

Desirable
- Current or previous experience of working in the Middle East
