Our client is a world-class leader in providing Systems Integration, Managed Solutions and Consultancy & Training services with more than 20 offices across 5 different continents.

THE ROLE
- The company requires a charismatic, flexible, hard-working HSE or Petroleum Operations Learning & Development Manager with exceptional communications skills, to support both the QHSE and overarching business development and service delivery efforts across the Middle East
- You will be knowledgeable and experienced in delivering classroom and on the job competency based and accredited programmers, covering a general range within; Occupational HSE, First Aid, Fire, Security, Security Technology and some technical training related to the oil & gas and industrial sectors.
- You will provide subject matter expertise in all HSE training matters and will be integral to the design, development, management and delivery of training projects.
- You will assist in the identification, qualification and bid writing process in support of the overarching the company Group QHSE business development effort through client engagement including Training Needs Analysis.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for all HSE Training related matters.
- Manage central HSE & Technical Skill library (including Accreditations) and ensure the Course Training Materials are complete and up to date
- Assist with maintenance of the QMS including oversight of student records in a Training Recording System
- Design and manage delivery of client focused training programmes. This should include development of competency frameworks and training solutions based against a Training Needs Analysis
- You will be part of a multi-national team delivering a range of training modules that underpin the programmes designed by the Group.
- Support the building of opportunities in a sales pipeline and provide technical support on developing and closing the training opportunities
- Build and maintains strong relationships, based on trust and credibility with all external stakeholders including clients, government ministries, academic institutions and awarding organisations.
- Ensures that all contract deliverables, such as the provision of suitably qualified staff, training resources, curriculum, vocational qualifications, reporting and quality assurance are achieved.
- Maintain and manage a pool of Associate Instructors and recruit qualified and experienced staff
- Verify that all training programmes satisfy the client’s quality expectations.
- Work closely with both the clients’ and the Group to develop high quality training programmes and materials, ensuring that, wherever possible, programmes receive and maintain accreditation by appropriate awarding organisations.
- Identifies and supports new training business development activity.
- Manages expat and Local National teaching staff
- Implements development plan for improving the capabilities of locally hired and Local National teaching and interpreting staff.

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years experience working in training and development
- A minimum of 5 years HSE Oil & Gas experience with associated qualifications (Eg NEBOSH)
- Previous Middle East or North Africa Oil &Gas training and classroom experience essential.
- Willingness and flexibility as benefits a training manager’s role within a fast growing sector
- Strong team player who can communicate effectively with students, client and fellow training team-members as a peer and line manager.
- Candidates will be required to possess a recognized teaching qualification; an additional assessor qualification will be preferred
- Minimum range of HSE training capabilities including basic HSE, NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications, and any other training skills would be an advantage
- Previous experience with training management including training matrices and competency development
- Ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, often in high-pressure situations
- A knowledge of security and security technology systems specifications and design.
