Legal Adviser

Job description / Role

Our client is a DIFC based business and risk management advisory company.

The legal adviser will have to ensure that all business, transactions, legal documents are complying with applicable laws. The person-in-charge will be involved in the review and drafting of legal documents and also ensure that business activities are organised in accordance with legal requirements.

Primary duties:
- To provide professional support, guide and advice as required.
- Assisting the business in compliance with all various legal requirements.
- Advising on liabilities and legal exposures for company clients.
- Suggest and advice on various legal matters likes commercial contracts, dispute resolution, regulatory, employment, and governance.
- To ensure that legal documents are drafted, reviewed and interpreted as per applicable laws.
- To take appropriate steps on different types of legal issues.
- To be able to handle external as well as internal legal resources.
- To keep appropriate level of management informed of issues and coordinating / initiating required actions.

The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

- Minimum of bachelor in law;
- Be licensed to practice law;
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;
- Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, and to persuade others to change their minds or behaviour.
