Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Legal Contracts Executive, your main job accountability will be to align Xerox Emirates LLC’s legal policies and contracts with global best practice regulations. You will work very closely with the Finance team ensuring adherence on revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies with customer agreements. This is a dual role with a main legal function which also includes ‘financial engineering’ whilst evaluating the economic impact of terms and term options on 'Managed Print Contracts' for the long term sustainability of XEM's interests.

Other day to day responsibilities are:

- Drafting and vetting of Commercial Contracts ensuring alignment with Xerox offered service and solutions.
- Drafting Legal/Commercial terms negotiations.
- Legal terms review and commercial solutions of RFP/Tenders from XEM Customers
- Monitoring and adherence of Xerox contracts to UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) commercial and legal requirements and responding to customer queries in relation to it.
- Monitoring and reviewing contract revenue generation (renewals & new opportunities from warranty/ T&M machines)
- Assessing the profitability and sustainability vis-à-vis deliverables on a proposal.
- Innovative pricing solutions to maintain competitiveness in RFP’s/Tender.

This is a unique role which requires someone with legal acumen and an inclination towards finance. It is a functional individual-contributor type role with long-term career prospects of leading a department.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria below:

- Be a qualified Lawyer (preferably in-house) with any Commonwealth jurisdiction;
- Have previous experience in an autonomous role (since this is essentially a single contributor role) and may involve tussles with the Sales function personnel;
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience in the independent drafting of contracts
- Ability to articulate complex opinions to Senior Management

You should essentially be someone who is confident, up to date with VAT implications to business processes in a medium to large corporation, have an understanding of the U.A.E market, and be a critical thinker and strong negotiator/communicator.
