Legal Counsel

Job description / Role

Provide legal advice and direction across the EGA Group and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations associated with its business operations to minimize risk and facilitate efficient decision-making by the executive management team.

Requirements

- Law degree from an internationally reputable university.
- Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in an international law firm (preferably UK or US).
- Experience in international cross-border transactions and projects.
- Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience preferably in any of the following areas: General Corporate / Commercial, Projects / Construction, Metals and Mining.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Research skills.
- Communication skills (Fluent English-essential; Arabic-desirable).
- Ability to liaise effectively, and coordinate with, internal project teams and service providers (at the international and local level).
- Planning, organizing and time management.
- Solid understanding of Legal & Compliance team and EGA Group values, strategies, policies and procedures.
