Job description / Role
We are currently compiling a short list of Candidates for an Oil & Gas Client based in the UAE for an additional Legal Counsel for their growing LNG department. Interested parties should contact me in confidence for the comprehensive job description and conversation regarding compensation.
Requirements
You will have experience of working under supervision of more experienced legal counsel, provide professional, timely, cost-effective and practical legal advice in support of the LNG business, reactively identify legal risks and alternative strategies in a defined area, ensure documents reflect accurately commercial decisions, at all times consistent with legal obligations and the in-house control framework, represent the client in discussions and negotiations with third parties, work as part of a virtual team and with internal and external stakeholders, in all cases with diverse cultural backgrounds.
A broad general grasp of legal issues under relevant legal systems and demonstrated capability of building up knowledge in particular areas of law. Knowledge and experience to identify critical legal risks.
Demonstrable track record as a (virtual) team player. Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High levels of business and legal acumen.
Open minded, flexible and robust approach, and ability to remain positive in challenging circumstances.
Fluent written and spoken English. Law degree or professional legal qualification. 8 years PQE.
