Legal Director

Job description / Role

The Legal Director will be responsible for all legal matters, liabilities and rights related to the company and its operations. The Legal Director will provide relevant service and will advise the company on a variety of different issues to protect the group against risk of fraud, mismanagement or other factors that result from non-compliance of government laws.

Key responsibilities;
- Draft, review, negotiate and administer legal and transactional documentations, letters and correspondences on behalf of the company.
- Provide legal advice on any suits brought in by or against the company.
- Act as a legal consultant for the group in any legal matters, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.
- Keep up to date with all new laws and regulations that may have implications to the Company’s Business.
- Liaise with external legal counsels and/or specialists as needed.
- Manage legal process, litigations and business transactions.
- Support all Directors on legal matters affecting the company and its employees.
- Identify all legal risks and implications.
- Gather evidence and legal information for court cases/ legal trials.
- Identify legal risks associated with managerial decisions.

Requirements

This role requires someone with a minimum of 10 years of experience in general law – it is mandatory that applicants are fluent in both English and Arabic.

Note, this role involves travel throughout the GCC.
