Legal Intelligence Manager

Job description / Role

A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Intelligence Manager to join a leading regional bank in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be working closely with senior management to provide Legal and Connection support, so as to facilitate all restructuring activities and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Deputy Head of GSAM / Legal & Remedial throughout the full spectrum of Legal and enablement assignment.
• Support GSAM Team in internal and external meetings and represent the bank in public departments and legal offices.
• Coordinate and source Information relevant to restructuring cases.
• Attend to legal experts meetings and Court sessions along with Externals as may be necessary and as specifically requested by Line manager or Head of GSAM.
• Provide Arabic and Legal support to all GSAM Team.
• Attend to urgencies and critical calls including clients' pressing issues and needs.
• In coordination with our external lawyers, to follow up on the legal procedures in various courts and legal enforcement agencies.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

• Experience of 5+ years of experience at financial advisory firms, funds or in banking (experience in corporate finance, debt advisory, M&A advisory or project finance departments). Restructuring experience is a plus.
• Genuine interest in finance and business environment with a quantitative mindset, sensitivity to details, and accuracy in everyday work is valuable assets.
• Experience in UAE Local Market with wide spectrum of contacts, network and connections.
• Relevant Bachelor degree (Finance, Law), Master, MBA, CFA, CMA or similar are preference.
• Able to align risk organisation to support recovery objectives.
• Team player - able to work within a group and promote cross functional environment.
• Ability to multitask and willingness to and operate within a multicultural environment.
