Legal Manager

Job description / Role

- Review, modify, and create construction contracts, government contracts, and contractor agreements that protect from potential general liability and payment protection issues
- Prepare legal documents, such as correspondence, motions, pleadings, briefs, and claims on behalf of the company.
- Resolve construction claims and disputes regarding contracts, construction defects, torts, payments, bond claims, and liens to avoid litigation and arbitration where possible.
- Representing the company in ensuring the efficient handling and winning resolution of all negotiations and disputes.
- Managed complex legal correspondence with clients, suppliers, contractors, vendors, agents and regulatory authorities and bodies while ensuring legal compliance, correctness and completeness
- Provide legal assistance with respect to Litigation/ Arbitration matters, for and against the Company
- Attend Arbitration hearing/ preliminary meetings/ assist in the preparation of files, documents, letters, correspondences etc. related to Arbitration/ Litigation matters
- Act as house counsel and advise the company concerning legal issues related to its business activities/transactions, claim liability, advisability of legal rights and obligations. These issues might government regulations, review of commercial agreements with suppliers and other companies, commercial and legal awareness.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 60,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Master of Laws or L.L.M.
- 15 years of Experience in the law field, at least 7 years of experience working in the UAE Courts
- Worked with Contracting Company
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting business objectives internationally across multiple countries
- Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters
