Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible for carrying out duties in a legal setting under the guidance of Head of Legal, including giving legal advice, researching information for court cases, and presenting cases in court.
- To assist the Head of Legal in preparing for court cases. Such as conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to the case.
- To gather and analyse information, then prepare a written report that the Head of Legal uses to determine how the case should be handled.
- To collect information and evidence for decision making of management and to assist the Head of Legal in preparing presentations to be presented to the management.
- To draft correspondences and legal briefs for various parties.
- To assist the Head of Legal in preparing and reviewing various legal documents such as contracts, letters, notices, with the Company's clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- To assist the Head of Legal in preparing and attesting various documentations (such as board resolutions, company registration certificates and trade licenses) for the purpose of establishing and registering subsidiaries and/or branches and/or JVs held by the Company.
- To follow up with subsidiaries and branches of the Company on getting their registration certificates, trade licenses, and directorship in place and up to date.
- When requested by the Head of Legal, to attend meetings, to take notes, to prepare and to communicate the minutes of the relevant meeting to the concerned parties.
- Upon the request of the Head of Legal, to follow up with the head office, subsidiaries and branches of the Company on compliance related issues.
- To handle administrative tasks such as filing papers and documents, maintaining and organizing reference files and records.
- Write periodic reports on developments of the legal department tasks, and meeting KPIs related to job role.

Requirements

- Must possess a Bachelor Degree in Law.
- Must possess at least 3 years of work experience in Law Firms or work experience in a Corporate Legal Department.
- Must possess an Excellent Writing and Communications skills in English and Arabic. French will be a plus.
- Must have an Average Knowledge on Legal Matters and Issues with Legal Background.
- Must have an Excellent Time Management Skills.
- Must have a Multitasking and Organizational skills to be able to oversee, manage and handle various matters and issues of the Company.
- To be prepared to travel to different countries and regions to discuss legal matters and meet with clients.
- Must be mentally and physically fit and have the ability to work long periods. Should be energetic and enthusiastic and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
