Job Description
- Has full awareness, manages and supervises all tasks of his/her staff
- Supervise counting and sending out of dirty linen and uniforms to the outside laundry and supervise the checking and counting of the received clean linen and uniforms
- Supervise and count the distribution of clean linen to the different hotel outlets
- Inspect new uniform and linen deliveries
- Assist Housekeeping Manager with the process of ordering new uniforms
- Monitor and manage all uniforms available in the hotel for re-use etc.
- Keep records of shoe vouchers distribution
- Check and sign delivery notes and invoices and maintain stock books
- Maintain equipment in proper state of cleanliness and repair
- Conduct daily briefings with staff
- Comply with hotel's health, safety and hygiene policy
- Adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards
- Must check all tailoring machines and conveyers to sustain quality work
Requirements
Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure all OH&S legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures
- Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Must be able to lead and manage a team and have previous experience of doing so
- Knowledge of Opera Property Management System would be desirable
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- Post Secondary education
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years Linen/Uniform experience preferably in a luxury hotel environment with 1 year at a supervisory level
