Logistic Officer

Job description / Role

- Advise the department, Office on status of logistics program and establish logistics plans for the site.
- Coordinates in logistics function, due to overlap of tasks in logistics the officer will ensure that all areas coordinates closely with each other.
- To be in coordination with THOE appointed agent in Port Rashid & getting approvals for all the shipments delivering to islands.
- Arranging the gate passes & permissions for the materials and vehicles from the Port.
- Schedule the loading/unloading on the barge & arrival and departure from the port.
- Develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years experience in shipping/logistics industry.
- Having UAE driving license.
- Able to do local purchasing as per the project requirements.
- Sea/Marine transportation experience is must.
- Able to make loading/unloading schedules & available at site during operation.
- Flexible working schedule & works in shifts (24 hours) operation.
- Responsible for receiving deliveries & checking/signing the delivery notes.
- Having enough knowledge for construction works/materials.
