Job description / Role
• Oversee all the operational and commercial aspects, creating and implementing the annual operating plans that support the strategic direction of the logistics department
• Assists in the establishment and ensures the execution of operational procedures and standards for distribution centers within assigned region.
• Managing a large multicultural team encompassing, sea operations, road operations, air operations and customer service
• Plans, develops and implements safety and security programs and activities
• Complete responsibility for freight management and related logistics operations
• Oversee the complete procedure of custody of Inventory quantity and quality to successfully implement stock count policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with an applicable laws and regulations
• Manage inventory levels based on service metrics and customer expectation
• Accountable for the annual warehouse budget, inventory and warehouse assets
• Reporting staff approximately 600; 5 direct line manager reportees
Requirements
• POSITION: Logistics Director
• SALARY: up to 45,000 AED monthly gross depending on years of experience
• HIRING COMPANY: A leading distributor and logistic service provider (retailer and wholesaler)
• LOCATION: Dubai, UAE
• AVAILABILITY: Can join immediately or maximum 1-month
• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Open to ANY nationals
• Male/Female, 45 years old and below
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or any relevant courses
• Postgraduate diploma in Materials Management is an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain; at least 3 years should have been head or director in warehousing or logistics in a similar FMCG environment
• Proven track record of building a successful logistics team and collaborating with key corporate and supply chain resources
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning skills and experience with the latest logistics software
• Proficient of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
