Job description / Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Executive to coordinate activities between our Distribution, Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Logistics team. As the Logistics executive you will be in regular contact with all of these departments.
You will be responsible for monitoring and confirming the arrival of vessels in Jebel Ali Port and the shipment clearance statuses with Al-Futtaim Logistics, whilst assissting to disperse the documentation required for clearance in a timely manner. You will advise Head Office of the status' of vehicles moving into PDI on a daily basis and units requiring repair in terms of damages and shortages.
You will regularly use Kaizen principles to recommend and implement improvements to the Distribution,PDI and Logistics process and interface, whilst continuously monitoring and identifying gaps in the current supply chain and recommend improvements and new and additional controls.
Requirements
You will complete reports on a daily and weekly basis, providing feedback on service notifications, deliveries, leather fitment, damages and shortages and will therefore need to be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, preferably with experience in using SAP and an understanding in expenses and costs.
It is essential that you have knowledge in vehicle supply chain with an understanding of the market and an appreciation of the product being supplied.
