Logistics Manager

Job description / Role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics operations within the automotive industry in the UAE, specifically in Dubai. They will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of parts and materials to support production and aftermarket services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and manage logistics operations for the company, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production and aftermarket services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive continuous improvement in logistics operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Manage and mentor a team of logistics professionals to ensure high performance and development.
• Ensure compliance with import/export laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for warehouse and transportation operations.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to logistics operations, including cost, delivery time, and inventory levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes, including import/export regulations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
• Fluency in English is required, Arabic is a plus.
