Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

WE are looking to recruit a Maintenance manager to take responsibility for a theme park in the middle east, open for just over 6 months of the year, this park is expected to attract over 5M visitors per annum - offering parking for 17,000 vehicles daily.

They have a number of well known rides which this park offers in combination with shows and a host of other activities; supported by a vast array of shops, restaurants and other retail outlets.

From a maintenance perspective their are 6 major rides and a number of smaller rides and attractions, you will be responsible for overseeing the entirety of the site, managing a team of up to 15 staff, training them and ensuring that critical safety standards are met at all times.

This UK owned company are moving to a new software platform to assist with PPM, your remit will cover planned preventative maintenance as well the organisation and management of spare parts, with a 6 month operating window it is essential that downtime is kept to a minimum.

This role requires a 6 day working week - 48 hour week, on the odd occasion (ride breakdown etc...) you may be required to work additional hours.

Requirements

You must be a time served or qualified Mechanical Engineer who has worked in the entertainment industry, to consider applying - you must have worked in a major tourist attraction, and have been responsible for "bigger" rides - such as roller coasters or ferris wheels, it does not matter where you have worked previously, only that you have this relevant experience.

You will have previously managed other engineers and be looking for a new challenge.

It is essential that you speak English, if you have a second language, Arabic would be ideal but is not essential.
