Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Synopsis

The Reliability Engineer is responsible to deliver key reliability functions which are required to ensure compliance with the GCAA Continued Airworthiness requirements (PART M)

Accountabilities

- Develop a comprehensive and cost-effective Reliability Control Program that is acceptable to the local authority (UAE GCAA).
- Compile the monthly reliability report, and analyse the data to identify unacceptable trends, and liaise with the respective fleet management section for recommendations and corrective action.
- Collect, compile and analyse the data required for the weekly and monthly performance reports, and issue the reports on time.
- Review aircraft defects/technical delays to identify any unacceptable trends. In liaison with fleet management, recommend and implement any corrective action.
- Review component removals and collect shop finding reports (teardown reports). Evaluate trends and implement necessary technical improvements.
- Identify any repetitive occurrence of problems and recommend appropriate engineering solutions and corrective action plan that is cost effective.
- Drive the agenda for Reliability Control Program Committee meetings and follow up progress on open items.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the reliability processes by utilizing technological and transformational solutions.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements for membership as a charted engineer (e.g. bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering)
- A solid foundation of analytical skills and understating of the RCM and FMEA.
- Comprehensive knowledge of analytical applications and usage including building Macros and basic SQL/ Python applications.
- 5 years job-related experience OR 10 years job-related experience in the field of Technical Commercial Aviation or Airline Engineering is generally preferred.
