Maintenance Technician

Job description / Role

Essential Duties:
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure they are in good working condition and in consistent with the health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and facility related problems, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of the assets.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunction and system failures, taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out safely and in compliance with the relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and spare parts needed for maintenance and repairs and make orders for supplies when and as necessary.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when necessary.
• Respond to facility and equipment emergencies promptly, including outside of regular working hours when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager and other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and address issues.

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience of minimum 3 years in maintenance and repair works, preferably in a similar role
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment
• Manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require physical strength.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical training in maintenance related fields is an added advantage.
