Job description / Role
Our client, a leading organisation in the UAE, is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team in Dubai.
As a Management Accountant, you are expected to act as a Business Accountant, understanding and supporting the business/departments with regards to all financial matters. Some of the duties of the role include: annual expenditure forecast, month-end close for all areas responsible, variance analysis and presentations to Budget Holder and Chief Financial Director, annual budget exercise coordination and completion, authorisation for expenditure coordination, internal control, inventory review, and ad-hoc analysis.
Requirements
In order to be qualified for this role, you must hold a relevant degree in Accounting/ Finance and any of the following: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or MBA Finance or working towards a similar qualification. It is also essential that you have more than five years’ relevant experience, preferably in Oil and Gas.
Ideal candidate must also have the ability to ‘stray’ and understand the technical matters to better assist the Business Manager. Good analytical skills, excellent communication/people skills with the ability to convey finance information to non-finance background staff and managers, and good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) are also required.
