Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Located within the MEA Headquarters in Dubai Knowledge Village this role reports into the Financial Controller for MEA.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Managing the Financial Accounting for MHQ (Centralised Headquarter for MEA) in line with GAAP
- Producing accurate financial reports and reconciliations to specific deadlines including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
- Processing all month end related entries for prepayments, accruals etc.
- Production of Central Statements including variance commentary and analysis for MHQ. KPI’s and Remote Lab analysis to be included as part of this pack
- Responsible for raising and collecting of invoices to both 3rd Parties and internal customers including the revenue recognition and weekly forecasting
- Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance and report these to the relevant business stakeholders and MEA Financial Controller
- Preparation of annual budget, along with monthly and quarterly budget reviews
- Approval of expenditure in line with department budgets & corporate policies
- Understanding of financial reporting standards such as US GAAP and IFRS & ability to keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
- Assist in the production of the MEA Management Reports
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the team

Requirements

- Professional Qualification or working towards a similar qualification i.e. ACCA, ACA CPA, CMA
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proactive individual who can work autonomously
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power point
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Critical analysis and problem solving skills are a prerequisite
- Ability to prioritise amongst various demands and work well under pressure
- Capable of building strong working relationships and open communication channels
- Reacts and adapts to changes and new developments in a positive manner
