Job description / Role
The Manager is responsible for the development of a sound Excellence model that supports the University’s mission and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective Development and Deployment of the Excellence Model and Systems in alignment and coordination with stakeholders.
The Office will be the custodian of the University policies, procedures and process. This includes establishing the University Quality Management System and compliance framework. The Office is responsible for establishing quality policies, reviewing of processes and leading improvement programs. The Office ensures appropriate update of policies and procedures, identifies areas for process improvements and manages process change requests across the University offices and units.
The post holder is responsible for planning and implementing the University compliance framework. The manager provides guidance, advice and ensures compliance with the University policies and relevant regulations.
Requirements
The Manager must hold a bachelor degree in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in an appropriate discipline with an emphasis on quality, improvements and compliance. The relevant experience includes: data collection, analysis and interpretation; Quality Planning; Process Mapping; Internal Audits; Risk Assessment; and Change and Improvements Program.
The position demands a strong statistical and analytical skill set, demonstrable knowledge of statistics modeling and trend analysis; excellent oral and written communication skills; effective management and organizational skills; the ability to work independently, attend to multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines; and experience and knowledge of quality system and compliance. Experience in the use of EFQM model and balance scorecard approach in an academic environment, as well as sufficient programming experience to recognize programming methods and techniques applicable to a variety of situations are highly desirable
