Manager Purchasing Cabin & Rotables

The successful candidate will be required to manage the procurement process to the highest quality and ethical standards for optimum efficiency, they will also develop supply chain strategies to yield lowest total cost.

This position will involve the close management of tenders and price negotiations whilst ensuring operational needs are met through effective procurement.

Please note, due to the complexity of our client's operation, to be considered for the role candidates must have at least 6 years experience in a supply chain environment (preferably in aviation) with at least 3 years experience at Supervisory/Management level.**

Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of procurement in compliance with company quality guidelines
* Maintain highest levels of ethics in procurement process by developing processes to compliment the user department's requirements.
* Working with Material Planning to match requirement with supply in a cost effective and efficient manner.
* Manage supplier and vendor performance to achieve advantageous service levels
* Manage the tender process in accordance with company requirements to ensure company financial and ethical compliance
* Work with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain supplier approval register and approve new vendors.
* Ensure procurement of aircraft material evokes release certification and relevant documentation as per QA and Airworthiness authority regulations.
* Identify cost saving opportunities and execute with senior management
* Monitor staggering of deliveries to support minimizing open cabin defects.
* Review, manage and improve procurement staff performance to supply chain targets.
* Identify internal/external training requirements to enhance staff knowledge, career development and performance to the best industry standard.

Requirements

* Minimum six years work experience with at least three years in a Supervisory/Management role in a related Supply Chain organisation.
* Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge in Procurement activities and Managing people.
