Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
- Ensure and provide support in compliance of regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support in regulatory reporting governance of the Bank and regulatory compliance on finance matters both at country/ emirates level.
- Ensure implementation of Group policies including regulatory reporting, operational risk, financial control and local compliance requirements for finance processes.
- Provide support in Group Management/ IFRS reporting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Accurate and timely production and submission of:
- UAE Central Bank returns
- Local Statutory accounts
- Basel II and Basel III reporting
- Statistical surveys reporting to individual emirates statistics department

- Provide advisory support to business and other functions on regulatory reporting compliance.
- Manage the process of regulatory audits, assessments and internal/ external audits in relation to regulatory reporting etc.
- Review PPGs for accounting treatment of new products as well as for existing product renewals in accordance with Group Accounting policies and also for regulatory reporting/ implication.
- Represent Finance at Regulatory Reporting Working Group (RRWG) and ensure issues/ new developments are being discussed & addressed and data integrity issues are identified/ escalated to Data Governance Committee (DGC) on timely and effective basis.
- Responsibility for monthly Financial Control System balance substantiation process.
- Ensure that regulatory function is in full/ complete compliance with Regulatory Reporting Policy, Financial Control Policy (FCP) and Operational Risk Framework.
- Actively contribute in Finance projects from accounting, compliance and controls aspect.
- Provide support in month end closing, review and submission of Management & IFRS pack reporting.
- Support in preparation and finalisation of forecasts/ budgets for Shared Support Function's Cost (SSC).
- Support in ensuring effective cost management across functions especially SSC, and help in preparation of commentaries with respect to Financial MI and Group FRA packs.

Requirements

* Accounting/ Finance Graduate with professional qualification like ACA or ACCA is preferred
* Working experience with big 4 audit firms or banks in financial reporting function is preferred
* Good knowledge of MS Office (strong MS excel / power point skills)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Good analytical skills
* Ability to work under deadline pressure and maintain high levels of accuracy
* Ability to work independently with self initiative
* Should be a strong team player
