Job description / Role

A fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Managing Director from the Food Manufacturing / Consumer Goods arena to join a world leader in edible ingredients based in Dubai. Our client is looking for a Managing Director to oversee one of the complete business units of their portfolio. Salary up to 80,000 AED per month plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up long term business strategies in consultation with the Board of Directors.
- Direct and establish coordination among various departments concerned with the Production, Sales, Marketing, R&D and Supply chain leading to business efficiencies.
- Lead annual budget exercise and present to board.
- Review financial statements and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas that need improvement.
- Establish departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with management
- Lead the process of developing marketing strategies including NPD’s, pricing, advertising and sales promotions.
- Oversee the overall functioning of manufacturing facility and provide directions.
- Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards
- Direct and control internal business processes
- Management of people to attract, align and develop them to ensure sustainability

Requirements

- Post Graduate in Business Management
- 10-12 years of experience managing medium sized business in Flour milling.
- Proven track record of ‘execution’
- Strong ‘commercial acumen’ especially on margin management through price growth and cost management
- Operated in a low-cost environment
- Operated in a matrix organisation
- Strong leadership skills
- High level of communication skills to communicate across the organization
- Ability to initiate and implement new ideas
- Track record of both B2C and B2B channel strategy implementation
