Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Originate new investment opportunities and create and protect equity value for investors, partners and stakeholders in the healthcare sector within the defined region and in close co-operation with the Group’s central functions;
- Initiate and overlook the elaboration of market studies, business plans, financial models and related studies and presentations;
- Lead a small team of finance experts and healthcare professionals to develop and structure healthcare infrastructure projects in the private sector,
- Initiate and maintain contacts to the local investors’ community;
- Lead international teams for the implementation of projects and coordinate VAMED internal functions and external partners
- Participate and/or lead negotiations with different project participants (members) including public sector entities
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
- Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
- Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Read all submitted reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
- Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth

Requirements

- University degree in either business administration, law, economics, finance, any health re-lated degree or similar fields;
- Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position
- Must have strong healthcare deals advisory/deals investment experience from a top strategy consulting firm OR mix of consulting and industry/private equity/venture capital experience in the healthcare sector
- Must have at least 10 years' experience in total, with a minimum of 5 - 7 years in strategy consulting
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
- Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Several years of experience in project development or consulting / advisory business of one of the international consulting & auditing companies or experience in private equity / investment banking;
- Strong analytical and structuring skills; experience in business planning and modelling;
- Ability to work in multi-cultural teams
- Background and market know how within the Healthcare Sector and access to the invest-ment community of the region is a plus
- Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, English a must – additional languages are a plus.
