Job description / Role
Our client a leading shared services business is looking for a Marketing Category Manager to manage their Marketing spend for the business. In this exciting time for the company they need a confident and ideas driven individual to develop strategies, policies and procedures.
Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Management of the Marketing spend for the business
- Vendor and supplier management
- Lead the implementation of policies, procedures and strategies
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost savings are made throughout the process
- Work with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively
- Build strong working relationships both internally and with key suppliers
- Contract management and negotiation
- Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business
- Understand technology and managing online systems and procurement tools
Requirements
The successful candidate should posses the following key skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience managing an indirect marketing spend for a business
- 7 years experience of which 3 should have been in the field of Marketing procurement
- Regional vendor and supplier knowledge
- Candidates must have experience working in the region
- University degree in economics, engineering or similar from a good university
