The Marketing Manager acts as a liaison between head office Marketing and the regional marketing teams to build sales, and foster marketing alignment and efficient communication. He/she is also the point person to plan and propose national marketing programs for the region. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of the regional marketing plan as well as communication strategy. To be responsible and accountable for the management and implementation of this strategy within IndoChina region.

Act as an expert on all matters relating to marketing planning, implementation and management for the region and business centres in order to facilitate the translation of the marketing strategy into actionable plans.

- Create, in consultation with local market, marketing plans containing strategies, tactics and detailed implementation calendars, taking into consideration the regional strategy, market conditions, portfolio realities and local/head office resources that may be required.
- Provide support as needed for the day-to-day implementation of the regional and local marketing plans, including campaign management, regular ROI analysis and program measurements.
- Liaise with the Marketing and Public Affairs teams to ensure that local campaigns are optimally integrated across channels, reflect the strategic imperatives and incorporate relevant messaging, content and value propositions into field-level programs for the direct sales force (and indirect sales force where appropriate).
- Act as conduit for marketing initiative implementation and go-to-market strategies in the field. Provide local advocacy and sales engagement information.
- Gather market information and, in a consultative fashion, provide marketing expertise/best practices for reaching and being relevant to target audiences.
- Ensure in-depth knowledge of marketing-related tools, including CRM and marketing automation. Contribute to the development of an effective regional marketing plan & communications strategy
- Manage, lead and execute regional and in market activities including campaign, media and advertising, digital and online initiatives, and above the line advertising
- Lead the generation of online contents that engage audience segments that result into measurable action
- Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities
- Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral
- Coordinate webpage maintenance - ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly
- Track and measure the level of engagement online and in social media
- Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate synergies between PR, trade and marketing initiatives
- Assess market regularly, understands, and reports effectively specific consumer and media trends, and competitive behavior – interpret these factors, and feeds these into the strategy development process, and alters in market activities to address and capitalize on these
- Identify and develop opportunities to leverage marketing strategies and activities
- Develop and manage key relationships with agencies, key stakeholders and other points of contacts
- Develop effective performance reporting
- Effective and prudent management of assigned budgets

Requirements

- Minimum Degree in either Marketing, Communications or Business Administration
- Minimum 5-8 years hands-on Marketing either in Printing & Writing Paper, Printing & Board or FMCG
- Experience implementing retail, corporate, and digital marketing & engagement programmes
- Understand and appreciate the dynamics of Sales & Marketing cross functional support and end goals
- Know how to do a solid marketing plan to drive sales and sales growth by geography, product, and target segments
- To appreciate the importance of brands to drive differentiation and mind share
- To know how to allocate and optimize marketing budget to deliver maximum outcome
- Is willing to roll up the sleeves to run roadshows and programmes on the ground
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skill
- Good analytical and organizational skill
- Good customer network and relationship in some segments of fine paper sales
- Strategic mindset yet hands-on in tasks
- Good command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential
