Job description / Role
We are looking for a Mater Technician to ensure necessary repairs are carried out as per the standard specification, ensuring minimum downtime and resolution defects resulting in customer satisfaction. The technician will analyze all repairs and maintenance of all Volvo Trucks and Buses i.e.FH12, FH, FL, FM, B12B, B9R, B7R etc., Shall be responsible for the following duties:
- Carry out accurate advanced diagnosis to trouble shoot and fault find and then perform effective repairs on vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Correct first time repair and Overhaul Engines, Chassis and Transmission/Driveline of Trucks and Buses.
- Solid Understanding of Electrical & Diesel Engine principles and systems.
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of electrical components and detailed wiring diagrams.
- Maintaining Service & Repair records & to be quite familiar with appropriate use of workshop equipment and special tools i.e. Volvo Tech Tool, Impact and Volvo Truck Portal.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum five years of technical experience within Volvo Commercial / Heavy Duty.
- Sound expertise in mechanical & electrical controls.
